How to Use the Toolkit
Using our Ofsted Toolkit is simple and straightforward. Here are the steps to get started:
- Complete the Checklist of 10 tasks which MUST be completed prior to inspection.
- Share Toolkit with SLT, Subject Leaders, Teachers – regularly meet to ensure all tasks completed and consistency of approach.
- Review Current Achievement: Begin by reviewing the detailed Opportunities to Thrive impact and outcomes for each year group/group of pupils. Familiarise yourself with the key Opportunities to Thrive impact for specific groups of pupils in your school paying particular attention to SEND and PPG pupils and what Opportunities to Thrive strategies you have used to improve transition.
- Customise the Resources: Tailor the templates, assessment tools, and other resources to fit the specific needs of your school and students.
- Implement the Strategies: Put the ‘Opportunities to Thrive’ strategies and tools into practice in your school. Use the Opportunities to Thrive strategies to measure improvements and how your Opportunities to Thrive strategies have led to the successes.
